In Loving Memory of

Charles “Chuck” Crouse

July 06, 1942- July 12, 2022

Chuck was born in 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, where he lived in the small town of Arcanum until his college years.  He was a proud alumnus of University of Michigan.  Soon after college graduation he was transferred and moved to California with his family where he became an avid fan of the 49ers and SF Giants.  He also loved camping and could often be found at several of his and Sandy’s favorite campsites, including Bodega Bay or anywhere near a lighthouse.

When Chuck and Sandy moved to Vacaville in 1980 he immediately made Vacaville his home as an active member of the community.

He supported his children Chris and Jennie in their years of competitive swimming by serving as a swim meet official, working his way to the top level of swim meet officials within U.S. Swimming.  He also held various positions as a leader and elder of the Vacaville Community Presbyterian Church.

Chuck was very active in the Vacaville Rotary Club, especially with projects involving woodworking, children and playgrounds.  One of his favorite Rotary Club fundraisers was the Turtle Tidal Wave.

He was passionate about the Vacaville Play4All playground and his family is proud to choose it as his charity of choice along with Community Presbyterian Church.

Chuck passed away on Tuesday, July 12th at the age of 80, surrounded by his wife Sandy and family.
